Exporting a Single Media Item
Sometimes you don't want a batch export — you just want this one photo out, right now, with its own specific settings. That's what single-item export is for, separate from the batch/filtered exporter.
Where to find it
Open any photo, video, or audio item's viewer modal and choose Export from there. This opens a dialog scoped entirely to that one item, independent of whatever your batch export settings happen to be set to.
Settings
- Format and quality — the same format/quality controls available in batch export, but set independently for this one file.
- Custom dimensions — resize to specific dimensions, with an aspect-ratio lock so changing one side automatically adjusts the other proportionally.
- Color space — choose the export color space independent of your library defaults.
- Video/audio settings — codec, resolution, and whether to include audio, for video and audio items.
How it differs from batch export
Single-item export is completely independent of the batch exporter's filters, destinations, and options — it's a fast path for "export this one thing with these specific settings" without having to configure filters for a batch job of one. Use batch export when you're exporting a whole shoot, collection, or filtered set at once; use this when you just need one file out quickly, possibly with different settings than your usual batch defaults.
