Connecting Google Drive
Fictura's Google Drive source/destination reads and writes your local Google Drive sync folder directly — there's no separate Google account connection or API integration inside the app.
1. Install Google Drive for desktop, in Mirror mode
Google Drive for desktop offers two modes: Stream (files appear as lightweight placeholders that download on demand when opened) and Mirror (a real, fully-downloaded local copy). Use Mirror for anything you want Fictura to import from or export into — a plain folder scan won't trigger Stream mode's on-demand download, so placeholder files just look empty to it.
2. Find your local Google Drive folder
With Mirror mode, this is a real folder on disk — typically ~/Google Drive on macOS or a dedicated drive letter (e.g. G:\) on Windows, depending on what you chose during setup.
3. Point Fictura at it
In Import or Export, choose Google Drive and enter (or browse to) that folder, or a subfolder inside it.
Keep in mind
Uploading/syncing back to Google's servers is handled entirely by Google Drive's own desktop app, on its own schedule — Fictura's part ends once the file is written to disk.
